Nigeria Police News Today on Recruitment 2024:At the start of 2024 the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) kicked off the recruitment exercise of Police Constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force. This information came as a joy to all unemployed Nigerians as the opportunity will reduce unemployment in the country.

Nigeria Police Recruitment Latest News Today

The ongoing recruitment operation will attract 30,000 youths to join the Nigeria Police Force. On Sunday, Solomon Arase, Chairman of the Police Service Commission, issued a statement confirming this.

Arase, a former Inspector General of Police, stated that after six weeks of receiving applications, over 400,000 Nigerians had applied for the position of police constable.

According to a statement on the commission’s website, the recruitment exercise will begin across the federation on Monday, January 8, with successful applicants being subjected to physical and credentials screening.

Meanwhile, following the closure of the recruitment portal,

  • Kaduna State leads the list with 31,117 successful candidates,
  • Followed by Adamawa with 29,848;
  • Benue with 25,346;
  • Borno with 24,854;
  • Katsina with 24,239; and
  • Bauchi with 22,958.

Other states with extremely successful applicants are

  • Kano, 21,006;
  • Niger, 17,959;
  • Gombe, 17,493;
  • Yobe, 17,207;
  • Nasarawa, 16,284;
  • Jigawa, 16,007;
  • Taraba, 15,622;
  • Plateau, 15,389; and
  • Kebbi, 12,917.
  • Anambra State had the fewest successful candidates overall, with 1,141,
  • Followed by Ebonyi, 1,537,
  • Lagos, 1,775, and
  • Abia, 2,110.

The Board expects that candidates conduct themselves in a manner needed by Nigerian adolescents desiring a career in the Nigeria Police Force, an institution driven by severe laws and regulations and which holds discipline as a bedrock for its existence.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has released a list of all selected candidates for the screening procedure, which is an important step in the selection process.

To see if you’ve qualified for the screening, please follow these steps:

  • Select “Check Status.”
  • Enter your email address and password.
  • Make a note of the screening date and prerequisites.

The Police Recruitment Board has announced that screening qualified applications for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force’s Police Constable cadre will begin on January 8th.

As of the recruiting portal’s shutdown earlier this month, 416,270 Nigerian youngsters were considered to have met the initial qualifications for the next stage of the operation. This includes 315,065 candidates for General Duty and 101,205 for specialty positions.

Successful candidates can expect to receive invitation letters by December 23rd, 2023. The following stage will include physical and credentials screening in the applicant’s home state.

They will be needed to bring genuine copies of their certificates, qualifications, and letters of attestation from their Local Government Chairmen or Traditional Leaders.

“Computer-based testing (CBT) and medical examinations will follow the screening,” Ani said. She went on to say that “dates for these stages will be announced in due course.”

Nigeria Police News Today on Training

The police have finally released a list of qualified applicants, dates, places, and official requirements for the 2024 Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Constables Recruitment Training, which can be accessed through the official homepage.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced that as part of the NPF recruiting process for 10,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force, selected candidates will begin training on Monday.

To ensure adequate security measures in the 12 additional institutes selected for the training exercise across the country, as well as the four prime police colleges in Lagos, Kaduna, Maiduguri, and Enugu, all commandants will collaborate with their respective commissioners of police.
