NaHCON Shortlisted Candidates 2024 Update
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) claims it has chosen 230 medical personnel for the 2024 Hajj activities. The commission’s chairman, Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, made the announcement Wednesday in Abuja during the inauguration of the national medical team for the 2024 hajj exercise.

He stated that the medical staff were chosen from 10,000 applications, but did not provide any specific selection criteria.
Hassan asked them to follow the Saudi medical profession’s rules, stating that the service to pilgrims is a trust.
He stated that NAHCON will not accept any excuse for negligence, regretting that several medical workers abandoned their duty stations during last year’s hajj activity.

Sheikh Suleiman Momoh, Chairman of the Medical Committee and NAHCON’s Commissioner of Policy, Research, Statistics, Information, and Library Services (PRSILS), recommended medical workers to be proactive in their jobs.
“We will not condone any excuse in leaving the duty post because the life of every Nigerian is very important to us,” he told reporters.
