Nigeria Police Shortlisted Candidates 2024: The Police Recruitment Board has finally approved the commencement of the screening process for successful applicants for employment into the constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on January 8, 2024.

The recruitment board met on Thursday at the headquarters of the Police Service Commission (PSC) in Jabi, Abuja where it took crucial decisions in respect of the next phase of the recruitment.

The spokesperson for the Police Service Commission (PSC), Ikechukwu Ani, disclosed the decision in a statement on Thursday.

According to the information, from the NPF recruitment portal in December, a total of 416,270 youths were said to have met the initial requirements for the next stage of the recruitment exercise, adding that the successful candidates are made up of 315,065 for General Duty and 101,205 for specialist cadre.

Ani said, “The successful applicants are expected to receive their invitation letters on or before December 23, 2023”.

Note: All applicants who submitted their applications and participated in the physical screening should now check their recruitment status and, if they qualify for the next stage of the exercise, proceed to print their Computer-Based Test (CBT) examination slip.

The NPF Recruitment Board has further administered that candidates invited for the screening exercise are required to come with original copies of their certificates/documents and other necessary credentials, including letters of attestation from their Local Government Chairmen and/or their traditional rulers.

Other stages of the NPF recruitment process include computer-based tests (CBT) which will be held after the NPF screening exercise and Medical examination. Dates for these stages of the exercise will be announced in due course.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has released the list of all selected candidates for the screening exercise, an essential stage in the selection process.

  • Visit the official NPF shortlisted portal at www.policerecruitment.gov.ng.
  • Click on “Check Status.”
  • Enter your email and password.
  • Make note of the screening date and the requirements.

To verify your identity as the applicant who filled out the online application form, you must bring the following items to the NPF training ground:

  • Recent Passport Photograph
  • National Identity Number (NIN)
  • Original and photocopies of Credentials (organized neatly in two white flat files)
  • Completed Guarantor’s form
  • Writing materials
  • Valid means of identification (e.g., International Passport, Voter’s Card, National ID card, or Driver’s License)
  • Certificate of Origin and Birth Certificate or Age Declaration

Candidates who fail to present the above credentials and documents will not be considered for the screening.
